Biography

Scott Singer is a senior strategy, business development, M&A and strategic communications executive with deep operating (P&L), consulting and investment banking experience in the media/tech industries. In his latest role, Scott launches and scales start-up businesses both inside large corporations and at venture-backed companies. He has extensive c-suite, board of director, private equity and VC relationships to drive growth and is an inside and outside sales leader. Scott also identifies, negotiates and executes strategic partnerships to build revenue. His strong marketing and analytical skills allow him to support recommendations, measure performance, ensure success and communicate these results to the marketplace. Most importantly, Scott is considered a trusted, idea driven innovator and team player.

For the last five years, Scott has been a managing director at DDG, an innovation consulting firm that creates startups inside Fortune 500 Companies. He advises media, tech and marketing & business services clients on new digital revenue monetization strategies to build and accelerate growth. Scott also taps into his extensive financial advisory experience to identify, develop and close strategic partnerships and M&A opportunities on behalf of these organizations to further turbocharge growth inorganically.

Prior to joining DDG, Scott was a partner and leader of the U.S. media practice at Deloitte, head of innovation at USA TODAY and a senior an investment banker at Merrill Lynch, Bear Stearns and BMO Capital Markets.

As an investment banker, Scott advised clients on M&A and capital raising transactions with an aggregate value of more than $110 billion for such clients as 21st Century Fox, AMC Networks, Cablevision, CBS, Charter, Comcast, Discovery, Disney, Hearst, Liberty Media, MSG, NBCUniversal, News Corp, Publicis, Time Warner, Viacom and WPP.

Scott also authored highly acclaimed business book “How To Hit A Curveball” (Penguin | Portfolio) where he explains how to confront and overcome the unexpected and successfully manage change. Scott’s currently working on his second book when he’s not out mountain biking, hiking, skiing or trying to land a trophy trout with his fly rod.
